I was addressing the following statement in the post prior to mine:

"Oh and that is the Bill of Rights not the Constitution"

The assertion I was reading in this statement is that the Bill of Rights is not a part of the Constitution. In fact, the Bill of Rights is simply the commonly used name for the aggregate of the first ten amendments to the Constitution.

Yes, I realize that an amendment can be repealed, and that it's a huge undertaking to do so. This is why we see so much lawmaking aimed at whittling away the amentments and so many judicial appointments who are less than strict in their reading and interpretation of the Constitution. It's easier to erode the document than just flat repeal it.
