It is true Americans celebrate Cinco-de-Mayo more than Mexicans, even though it is a Mexican holiday. The reasons Americans celbrate are listed below: 1. Excuse to party. 2. It helps remind American people of our rich diversity by showcasing a holiday from one of our neighbors. 3. Tequila. 4. In the Battle of Puebla, it was the French who were defeated; always a plus. 5. Excuse to party.
