Boss again confuses cost with value. He bought a refurbed printer for when we moved offices. Tried installing it yesterday, no go. He took a look over it. Esbita's Law of Technology (get the least tech savvy person in the place to look at it after you're stumped and it'll work fine) did not hold here. Thing's defective. Now the man-hours that the 3 of us have spent fiddling with the thing easily outweighs what he "saved" on a refurbed printer that does not work. And in a very paper intensive office, we're still using the fax for our copier and only one of us has a printer.
