            bubbles by wolfhound668 2005-05-05 05:37:06
In my area they use a ballot where you have to fill in the bubble for your candidate and it gets scanned. Something any six year old should be able to figure out. The first time I saw the card I thought it was funny how much everything was exagerated to avoid mistakes, nice big bubbles, plenty of white space around everything to make sure no one filled in the wrong bubble by mistake. As a long time veteran of the number two pencil "scantron" exams in school it saw it as a little extreme. Then I remembered the old saying, "as soon as you make something idiot-proof someone comes up with a better idiot". Then I started thinking about how many people had to have problems until it got to this point. Then I got depressed. :)
