at this time, I was happy.
at 5:30 pm EST May 3 2004 my loving wife asked me for a divorce.
So a year and a day ago, I would have had about 2.5 hrs of blissful ignorance to go.
The divorce should be final on the 11th, but she is dragging her feet, even going so far as to ask that I wait until the end of June. Seems she hasn't gotten health insurance yet. Passive/agressive much? Did she call immediately when I mentioned the date? No. She said she would call later - she was just too busy. *sigh*
I just want it OVER. I can't really start my life again until the past is the past. This divorce is like a 2" hangnail embedded at the root of the nail and directly attached to a nerve bundle. Pulling it out slowly by the roots isn't as kind as a sudden quick yank.
I know I should bite the bullet and get a lawyer - and I may do just that. I'm sick of this crap.
About a month ago she actually asked me if we could date after the divorce was final. She started crying when I said no. Well, what did she expect? Sheesh. Then I felt bad for making her cry.
Oh yeah, tomorrow I'm 38. Yippee. |
