the workforce actually following the union I guess I can see that. Basically if you loose a great deal of your workforce at once then I can see the impact.

But I was looking at the prospect of the local Walmart store where the loss of union employees is not necessarily a big detriment.

By "not any real power" I was mainly referring to them not being able to force the company to only higher union employees and force the company to re-higher an employee THEY deem wrongfully terminated. I was thinking of additional recourse being legislated to them other than just walking out on the job.

Hopefully I better explained my intent of the statement this time.
