Any Tcl/Tk scripters around? by quilting_kitty 2005-05-04 07:41:34
I'm having trouble finding information on how the :: works. For example:

if (![info exists ::systems]}
#prints an error and exits

Clearly it's testing to see if ::systems exists and contains information, but neither ::systems nor systems appears anywhere else in the script. So what, exactly, is ::systems and where does it's value come from? How would it be different from $systems (if there were one...there isn't in this code). If it would help, I can post the whole script, it's < a page. Thanks in advance for any help.
