you can implement an MVC (model-view-controller) design. This separates business logic from the presentation layer, and Fusebox 4 in general (even if you don't go with the MVC pattern) makes the code much more modular. And you can get a free download (a few files that you put in the application's root directory) from fusebox.org. It has other advantages, but I don't want to sound like a Fusebox 4 product rep or something. :>
