before I figured out that you don't spell all words out the way my mother and father spelled our name out over the phone..."that's P as in Peter, u, l, T as in Tom..."

Picture the 4 year old in school " CAT - c, a, t as in Tom"

It took me at least 6 months living in the US to say Zee and not Zed when spelling my name though. I'm ashamed to admit, that I have to *think* before saying Zed when I'm home in Canada on vacations now.
