| I swear, most North Americans are blind. |

| Or they can't bloody read. That's Frazer with a z.
In Canada 9 times out of 10 I get Fraser with a bloody s. Even if I spell it out for them. F-r-a-z-e-r. I watch them write F-r-a-s-e-r. What. Is. So. Damned. Hard?
So I say, "Z, not S" and they get all discombobulated and scratch out the whole last name and start over. F-r-a- ...they BEGIN to write S... and I say softly "Z. Z, or I'll keeeel you."
In the U.S. it's not much better. They seem to be incapable of writing a "z" without an "i" instantly following it. F-r-a-z-i-e-r. NO. WRONG. I NEVER SAID "i".
And when they pronounce my last name, it's "Fray-sher" when I clearly say "Fray-zer."
Is there some North American retardation gene that gets triggered by spelling my name? |
