and you're if you're talking video editing, you only want striping, not any real level of RAID. (RAID is for high availability, not high-performance)

So - buy something like a HighPoint RocketRAID controller, 8 Seagate drives and build a striped array. (all SATA)

That'll cost less than a SCSI card and a pair of disks, and have MUCH better IO raters.

SCSI has very few places left to go these days.
