Not on my account they didn't... I've added several cards and multiple bank accounts, and I've never been charged and told about a code on the statement. They just run a pre-auth on the card for like a dollar to verify it's a real, active card, and then never run a capture. Maybe they have different policies here in the US? Man, if they charged a "test" transactioin of $1.75 for each card on non-US accounts, they'd be making pretty good money.
