Or it can't make out the version from the signature. I've seen so many different versions so I wouldn't be surprised. Third option is that it's a version not supported by the counter. I see lots of WinXPs for example, which is actually identified by version 5.1, not by "XP", so it's clear it has some transformation. Win2003 for example has version 5.2 and the stats program may not have transformations for all versions.
