your classes doing things rather than being things? By which I mean the kind of design that ends up with classes with names like ScriptWriter rather than Script (which knows how, among other things, to write itself). Having class names that end in -er is a sign of this (though they are occasionally the Right Thing) and I used to do it a lot (and occasionally still do). It invariably comes back to bite me with a lot of unnecessary work when (not if) the circumstances change. Pete
