Terri Schiavo Continued... by babywhizIT2005-03-26 23:43:11
  You're so clueless it's painful. by AyDB 2005-03-27 00:27:09
1. Terri Schiavo's condition has never been assessed as 'improving.' Read the report assembled by the Guardian Ad Litem, the court-appointed representative of Terri Schiavo's interests. He determined that not only had Michael Schiavo offered the best care possible for his wife, including going to nursing school in order to better be able to care for her, but that Terri Schiavo has no possibility of recovery.

2. Michael Schiavo has turned down two offers--one for $1 million dollars, the other for $10 million dollars--from the parents to sign away guardianship. If he were in it for money, wouldn't he have taken it?

3. Half the points you list are either blatantly false or based on unsubstantiated claims by the parents--most of them, in fact, directly contradicted by the findings of the GAL and the courts.

4. 80% of Terri Schiavo's brain is gone. Literally, the brain tissue died and was replaced by spinal fluid. There is no way to recover from that, ever.

5. It's criminally irresponsible to try and claim that Michael Schiavo somehow put his wife in this state. Any of her doctors will tell you that she suffered a heart attack which resulted in anoxia and brain damage. How do you explain the extraordinary care and measures that Michael Schiavo has gone through first to try and help his wife, then to assure that her last wishes were carried out?
