Terri Schiavo has me thinking by Egaeus2005-03-26 14:41:45

someone with no cerebral cortex left is not living? Why is it too that those types of people are so adamant about husbands and wives cleaving unto each other when it suits them, but cleaving them apart when it doesn't?

No, I'm all for more people suffering and dying. If those kids are unfortunate enough to be born to people without enough sense to provide medical care, Darwin Awards are necessary to thin out the herd.

If the Schiavo vegetable weren't a middle class white girl, this would not be an issue at all. The so-called believers in the sanctity of life only extend that as far as life that resembles theirs. Was there a hue and cry about the minor vegetable in Texas whose life support was cut off because his parents couldn't afford his hospitalization anymore? Swell, isn't it, that they probably went heavily into debt and their kid is dead anyway.
