More like, a party where the host is stealing the attendees beer, someone puked in the punch bowl, the folks who arrived late are stoned, the folks who arrived early are kicking holes in the walls, and the parents of the host are home soon with more liquor. Everyone is parked on the lawn, with someone having done doughnuts there earlier in the evening. The cops have been called, but are smart enough to sit across the street watching in case it turns into a riot. There are helicopters overhead from the new agencies, trying to get a photo of one of the attendees, and that helicopter noise (along with the puking, bad loud music, revving pickups trucks, etc.) is keeping all the neighbours in the neighbourhood awake.
