Terri Schiavo has me thinking by Egaeus2005-03-26 14:41:45
Not really the same as Schiavo, but by lab rat 2005-03-26 14:56:31
a few years back a very dear friend was dying of cancer. Now I would go visit him and try to get the staff to do what the heck they should be doing, keeping him clean(which they did not do,so I did), getting his pain meds. For example the idiot government fools were dragging their to get him a wheelchair (read if Mr. X dies we will not have to get said chair) so I could wheel him around, (he could sit up)so his last weeks he would not just be looking at the flipping walls in a tiny. His government moron Social worker said it would be 3 weeks. Of course, docile lab rat aboutlost it. I told the lacky, firmly yet politely "He does not need it in 3 weeks he needs it now'!

Now on the funny yet slightly twisted side, my friend was also diabetic. I asked him if there was anything I could bring him. He want Oreos and Delaware Punch. I bring the items and the the flipping aid freaks out..."He can't eat that, he's a diabetic" Grrrr....anyway, he eats the stuff, pukes it out later, the moron staff thinks he's hemoraging. 2 hours later he consummed the offending items...more hillarity ensued.
