Too bad the US governments (all levels that I can see) are so concerned about the external threat that they don't notice the internal ones - like the dumbing down of their citizens. Unless that's part of the plan?
As for abstenance-only education, as someone who's previously fundraised for Teen-Aid, I can assure you it doesn't work (at least, not in rural Saskatchewan, Canada).
Heck, the graduating baby in every class (out of a grad class of 30-40 kids, there's always at least one with a baby) for the past 15 or so years in my highschool says abstenance-only doesn't work. And I won't even talk about the STDs going around that school.
Too bad the community just thinks the babies are cute (they must, otherwise I think there should be some sort of commentary by now). |
