is a Stupid idea, and is thus encircled in a cloud of Stupidity. Trying to deal with a Stupid idea usually causes one to at least partly succumb to the exposure. (Of course, the whole 24-hour clock itself is just a legacy hack that no-one can replace until they can think up something which is backwards-compatable. 8) )
