While it may not be the all-time worst; I believe it was up there. Strieber should not be trying to pass off horror fiction as fact. I suspect he was attempting to cash in on the 'alien abduction' craze that was going on at the time. Christopher Walken's 'acting' did not help to suspend disbelief. Also: the book was as bad as the movie.
