13 more reasons the universe is weird by Arachnid2006-11-19 12:55:59
Here is my take on it by shminux 2005-03-23 20:28:16
Biochem origins of the placebo effect: pretty amazing
Horizon problem: working on it :)
Gamma ray bursts: the surprising part they are local (can't get here from another galaxy due to their interaction with CMB)
Homeopathy: I see it used and helping daily, but weird nonetheless
Dark matter: I'd too prefer it didn't exist
Mars life: likely a measurement artifact
Tetraneutrons: same
Pioneer anomaly: probably same, but maybe related to the dark matter/energy puzzle
Dark energy: working on it :) I suspect it does not really exist
Kuiper cliff: no opinion
Wow signal: likely a measurement artifact
Changing constants: same
Cold fusion: garbage and wishful thinking.

Overall, the list seems pretty heavily skewed towards cosmic phenomena.
