| Lucky me I was on the day shift. At 4am the computer that monitors all the other servers shut down. Now if it was a M$ OS then it would be expected but it is running Unix.
Things that make you got Hmmmmmmmmm. All of our back ups and heavy production is done at night. so we had three staff running around trying to decide which on-Call person to contact.(Unix support, Lan, Admin, etc). This morning checking all the logs we find that the CPU is fried so when the rest of the team gets in (me) we have to fail back all the servers to run off the secondary control master. Fortunatly that is in our disaster plan so there was no re-wiring required. CPU gets replaced tonight them I get to roll the system back to normal operations tomorrow morning. Other than that I had a wonderful day. How was yours? |
