That's definitely one of the ways. I'm think, depending on the size of the cavity, they might be able to see it without the x-ray... but don't quote me on that.

It is possible that the first set of x-rays had something that looked like a cavity... or it could be that there are different standards of what constitutes a cavity.

However, it is entirely possible that they were trying to scam you. Dunno if writing the Attorney General without a second occurrance would be useful... and if it turns out it was an honest mistake or that it was because their equipment was more sensitive, it could be causing trouble for someone who doesn't deserve it.

So to answer your question... I'm not sure what you should do :-/
