Umm, this is weird. Can anyone help? by dodrian 2005-03-22 14:10:54
I just installed a couple command line programs that OS X lacks via dselect, but now something weird is happening.

The programs were installed in '/sw/bin', which I checked is in the PATH. All had permissions '-rwxr-xr-x', and all worked when I ran them when suppling the full path.

For some reason some commands, such as 'irssi' work fine, but others such as 'gimp' and 'lynx' don't work. All the man pages pull up, and I've got no clue why some need the full path whereas others work just with the name.

Does anyone have any idea about what could be wrong?

  Did you check /etc/manpath.config ? (n/t) by Nashville2005-03-22 15:03:16
