It often does not bring about any quality education (there ARE educational courses, don't get me wrong, but QUALITY is sorely lacking).
Guys forced into military service never add into military preparedness. There's no point to forcing someone to defend their land if they don't want to (or see the need to).
Law enforcement and military are not the same (though those that spend their 2 years of national service in the police would have that kind of training).
There are still obese people, and there will continue to be obese people. All the training doesn't help, and in some cases, it can't. They're so obese that they're exempted from national service, and thus it leads to a lot of younger kids who dislike military service to try and gain more weight just to skip it. The creation of the "Fat Squad" proves that. They didn't get obese enough to be exempted, but still have to serve. |
