A week or two ago I picked up a Nikon Coolpix 5900. I wanted something that was smaller and cheaper than my Minolta DiMAGE 7i. The Nikon cost about 1/3 of the DiMAge price. So it will be my throw it in my pocket and run around camera. For those times when it needs more protection I recycled a old hard case I had. As much as I like these two cameras I still want one of these. I looked at one over the weekend and actually managed to keep from getting drool on it. I've been asked to take pictures at a wedding in 15 months and I think I may end up using a Maxxum 7D. I'll have to see how things look in 6-10 months.
