Any idea which security certification I should get by dysfunct 2005-03-22 11:06:18
? <- I only needed one more character in the subject line...

I'm currently studying Software Engineering at the University of Vienna, but I've been involved in all kinds of IT security stuff for quite a time now. Since in that kind of business people commonly are paranoid ( you know, the good kind of paranoid, not the tinfoil-hat-my-goldfish-wants-to-kill-me kind of paranoid ) I think I'll need some kind of certification - but which one? There's so many of 'em. RSA, SANS, ISC2 and more acronyms that are the "leading provider for security etc. etc. etc. ad nauseam".

RSA is typical business stuff with a well-recignized name, SANS sounds very interesting but is damn expensive and I've never heard of ISC2 and others before.

Any suggestions? Which one would you want a future employee to have?
