a number of "christians" get upset when you cite non new testament stuff.

imho they aren't christian as they're rejecting a significant portion of their theological past and foundations, picking and choosing just what they want/feel appropreiate.

judge not lest ye be judged? love thy neighbor? come on, there are WAY too many hypocrites who are defensive of their "christian" beleifs that only suit their own purposes.

keep in mind, i'm theologically high church lutheran with a big kick of jesuit thought, so i'm not saying this from a position outside the christian church, and i'm not saying that folks' beleifs aren't valid, i'm saying that the way they've been tought to interact with their beleifs contravene and contradict their professed beleifs.
