If it's not taking up your time separately, then it's unfair to bill it separately.

If your lawyer had a big copy job going on the copier for you (litigation documents can become massive and several copies need to be made for the court, for the opposing parties, etc) and had to check it periodically to see whether it was done, but spent most of that time working on something for another client, would you want that lawyer billing you the entire time for the copy job?
