Ouch, work question: by salix 2005-03-22 08:14:00
At work we run '98 pc's due to 16bit compatibility reasons.
('2000 and 'XP are both tested, and confirmed nogos)
We also use a terminal service client, that used to run smoothly enough upto a nt4 terminal server.
Recently we were bought, and $newcompany modernized all the servers, upgrading the TS to '2000TS, and since then our client software has been acting up. Slowly eating up all the RAM, leaving no option but controlled (= no work lost) reboot when it hits 0%free RAM. Helldesk says it's the most recent client SW (mstsc.exe v. 5.1.2600.0 (xpclient.010817-1148)) Does anyone know of such issues?

It strikes me as odd why we run an XP client under '98

TIA,

salix

Will be back for more info in about 2 hours
