what few laws exist exempt Police and the Police have flatly stated they do not want it. (refer back to rule #1)

Overall the number of Officers being shot with their own guns has been on a decline thanks in no small part to efforts by Trainers like Massad Ayoob to bring the message of retention training and carrying the duty weapon on safe. This has saved countless officers lives so far as many criminals do not know how to rapidly unsafe most firearms allowing the officer to draw his (hopefully his department has authorized this) backup weapon and fire. There is even a Glock Approved modification that ads a manual safety to that gun.

I watched a scary training video that showed inmates in San Quenten Prison practicing disarming techniques aimed at getting a Cops gun from him or at least rendering it inoperable, which is something the U.S. Military issue Beretta is VERY susceptible to.

As for the DEA dork... The most importatnt safety feature he had available was never engaged. It was located between his ears.
