...clever plaintiff can make sure that a case is tried in jurisdictions where the judge is known to be friendly to a given cause.

Doesn't work in the Schiavo case, but I've noticed a lot of "jurisdiction-shopping" going on lately in high-profile cases dealing with highly-charged political issues.

It's not supposed to be legal, but hey, if it works...
