| What is wrong here part 2... |

I woke up this morning to the news of the Federal Judge denying the temporary "restraining order" to have the feeding tube re-inserted. Polls that have been taken reveal the majority (56% let her go, 35% let her live) don't feel a possibility of a recovery (what ever it would be). Appeals will be requested and possibly an answer will be given by this evening or as early as tomorrow morning.
So, does this also indicate a 'fiasco' by our goverment to look nice in front of cameras? Can they make laws to benefit one person instead of the whole nation? IMO, yes, they are enjoying the spotlight, and on the second, well... we see the result of it on all of the news.
What bothers me most of all this is that now we see that IMO, laws will be passed for the individual and not for the group. Preferential treatment in the laws of this nation will be accepted now. So, is lady justice peeking under her eye cover and causing her to tip the scales one way and not balanced?
Am I alone with this opinion? If I was in that situation, get the feeding tube out, put me out of my misery, and don't let me be a prisoner in my own mind (if that was a possiblity). Let my family and friends remember me as the walking talking and able body person than a bag of unresponding flesh and bones. Don't let my family suffer more with the deterioration of my condition with false hopes than to face the reality of the situation.
Let me know of what are your thoughts. As my favorite news caster/commentator would say: This is the rest of the story, good day! |
