I agree with radiowave911 below. 802.11b did not even exist when 98 came out, let alone g. I have a 133mhz laptop running XP Pro and my g card installed flawlessly. Win98SE likes to blame the hardware when it just doesn't recognize the technology.

I don't know if it would do any good, but you might want to try a USB wireless adapter.
Also, did you install the utility program that came with the adapter?
If not, it may be able to bridge the gap between the card and the OS.
