Was the glass being designed as a fluid storage system, or as a fluid delivery system. You see, the applicable standards bodies for the two are completely different.

They probably used the SAE specs for the glass and either ASTM or CRC standards for the water.

If you can give me coherent set of specifications, I might be able to give you some kind of a WAG as to how large the glass should have been.

OR

Don't blame me, I just designed what the customer specified.
