Wikipedia Question by carthax2005-03-16 15:06:23
Ask: What would the prof think? by ralph 2005-03-16 16:23:19
As long as this debate continues then I would refrain from citing Wikipedia in marked assignments. Whomever is marking may hold a negative opinion of its validity.

Personally I love Wikipedia and have used it to gain extra insight into a number of subjects. Since it accepts updates from anyone, it has a long way to go to prove itself.

One of the hardest lessons I learned from college was I was there to learn, not teach. Keep your own opinions out of assignments, and deliver what the teacher is expecting. If you disagree, fine. But at least understand why the teacher feels the way he/she does.
