Apache server question by Bonzo 2006-11-19 12:55:59
I can't seem to get the .htaccess file to work..

My .htaccess file:

AuthName "Secret site"
AuthType Basic
AuthUserFile "c:/wwwpub/subdomains/harald/webtests/.htpasswd"
Require test

My .htpasswd file:

test:6KPke8ZI0dQU6

The file was created by using this tool
User: test
Pass: test

My error log:

[Wed Mar 16 22:26:43 2005] [error] [client 192.168.0.1] user test: authentication failure for "/webtests/index.html": Password Mismatch

What could be wrong?
I'm thinking that the tool uses some other encryption algorythm?
I've allso tried "test:test", but with the same result..
