so i'm looking for an image of a tanuki and come across a page that blocks the yoinking of their images by having the image present a "this image is copyrighted" via javascript. out of curiousity, of course turning off javascript lets me yoink the image. do you think they really think this is protection, or just a polite reminder? as a side note, the site probably didn't have rights to several of the images as they're of other folks art that appears elsewhere.....
