America, the land of the lawsuit, where you can get very rich just by spilling coffee on yourself and go to court.

This seems to be a case of trying to export that particular American ideal - that anybody can sue anybody else for just about anything. According to the article, the IDF was acting in accordance with Israeli law, and was found not guilty of any wrongdoing by an investigation. If that isn't enough to get any frivolous lawsuit thrown out of an Israeli court, then maybe the madness is spreading.

Whether there was a tunnel or not is completely immaterial to whether the IDF acted in accordance with Israeli law.
