violence breads violence. This eye for an eye attitude is what is causeing all the death and distruction.
There is no difference between the Isralies and the Palistinians. They are both tribes that act in the same overly violent mannor. The big differnece is that one group has the US giving it arms and support.
So by plowing down that persons house, you have created 10 new martars who are willing to give their lives because they hate what Israel has done to them. Poor desperate people with nothing left to live for. You take everything they have away and expect them not to fight back. This isn't a war. War is fought between equal opponents. This is just terror fighting terror. I have heard the soliders talk. They want revenge just as much as the suicide bomber.
the whole thing is sick. But in the end, Isreal is sitting on occupied land that it took from Egypt and Sira. It has commited war crimes and refused the right of return to millions of Arabs who were evicted from their homes (the right of return is a human right as defined by the UN charter which both the US and Isreal signed). Isreal is the one who has the policy of "settlements" to push the Arabs out of their own lands, and who are building in the name of security, but which is in effect approprating land that doesn't belong to Isreal. In the end, although agregiously wounded by horible and unjustifable attacks and tactics, Isreal is still an ocupying power, and those "terrorist" have a right to fight any ocupyer, by any means they feel is nessisary.
Trust me, if the US were to invade Canada, I would be down at the town square killing any american I could set my crosshairs on, I think in the same position any American would do the same. |
