Weird electrical problem: by Blindman2005-03-16 07:42:27
Nope - but then I have the same sort by airborneric2005-03-16 07:45:10

But I think they tried to pinch pennies with the light switches, which look very '50's to me.
I've got one of those mystery lights, too. I'm working up the nerve to play with the inside of the switch/switch box, but I expect that it's just worn out. I hate pulling apart old electricity and plumbing. Something is always too short for re-use and I already have 3 of the wrong thing for it's replacement.
Repair is one thing. It's easier to start with a fresh circuit.
Demolition - now there's a proper joy. Give me that Pulaski and a wrecking bar, some goggles and a mask. Yo-ho-ho, and a bottle of pop. *POP* Uhm, ok, now find a flashlight and go turn off the rest of the electricity (and red-tag that panel!)
