But all in all, it's a sad story. She's lost two legs and an arm - that makes her dependent on others for virtually everything. Now she has to spend her life wondering what would have happened if she'd just waited a minute.

I feel bad for the commuters, but they were really just inconvenienced. I feel worse for the girl in hospital, she has to suffer for it. I feel worse still for the train driver, as he now has to live with the trauma of something he couldn't avoid, couldn't have known about, and was none of his fault.

But I feel worst for the family - they now have to spend the rest of their lives looking after this girl/woman, and that's a pretty stiff sentence given that they did nothing wrong.

Oh, and as a taxpayer, I'll have to pay for her impatience and carelessness...

All bad.
