I have a good story... Don't hook up more drives when your power supply cannot handle it. My boyfriend decided he wanted to hook up 4 hard drives to his pc...ok so I don't know how much in numbers how much his power supply could take. One of our friends was chilling with us in our home office the other day, and this was the day my bf hooked up the 4th hard drive. All of a sudden there was a LOUD pop and our friend said he saw a spark. I thought for sure that something would be fried. But no, bf unplugged everything, took a look at the power supply, then plugged 1 drive in and turned on pc. All worked fine. Note, power supplies are freaky. They have a mind all of it's own! Or am I just hallucinating again? :P
