  There is more than one way! by ideur 2005-03-16 01:29:56
  1. from the console command prompt:startkde (just to see if everything works)
  2. change .xinitrc to include startkde
  3. use xdm, kdm or gdm and select KDE as your windows-manager
  4. if you have Slackware, you should have a script xwmconfig in which you can select the default window manager to be started with startx
