WHAT other media outlets??? AMERICAN media outlets? So.. you are going to take the word of a group of people who told you there were weapons of mass distruction in Iraq and Sadam was connected directly to 9/11???? Sorry, but US news is strictly entertainment.
I live in Canada. Watch the National and Canada Now! Everyday.. NEVER have I heard anything about this. And as the CBC is the national TV station it would be something that would be on there. Like I said, there are likly groups calling for this. But saying it is happening is fear mongering of the worst sort.
I can give you ALL sorts of reasons beyond laws needing to be changed that would stop this immediatly! For one, trade with the US would be seriously affected. We have enough problems as it is. This probibly has more to do with preping the American public to be outraged that Canada is going to Legalize Pot. Now THAT is something that will most likly happen in the next 4 years or so. And if you will recall, the US's offical stance on pot is that it is a "gateway" drug that leads to... HEROIN USE!! yaaaaa.
There is just too much obvious self intrest in this story and it isn't being picked up in the right places and doesn't have the right names. When I hear the FEDERAL minister of justice saying that this is going forward, will such stories be warrented. |
