| Bad situation....need some help |

I got my check from the place I used to work at yesterday. I don't have a bank account (kinda can't get one anyways) so I go to the bank where the company has it drawn off of. The teller tells me she cannot cash the check. I leave. Stupid as I always am, I didn't ask why. I go to a check cashing place and they tell me that the account # on my check was a bad check account. Grrr.
Today, I call the company I worked at and I spoke with the owner, he said that I should be able to cash the check. He said that the bad account had been "taken care of" and I should be able to get my check cashed. So, just to be safe, I called the bank this afternoon and they told me that indeed the owner had been in to settle the case. They told me that they would be able to cash my check. So, not even 2 hours after that, I'm at the same bank being told that I cannot get my check cashed. Why? Well, they (the bank and owner of my former employment) did NOT settle the case, but that they (the bank) had given him (said owner) a contact number to settle the case (prolly HQ). So, I got to walk home with not a dime to my name trying not to bawl my eyes out.
WTF!!!! I swear...I'm so upset right now. I just want my money that I worked for. So if anyone has advice, please, I need some. Because apparantly I can't think for s4. |
