After the whole debacle JUST the safe injection sites... this seems a little much. I will buy that some groups feel this is a good idea (hell I feel it is a good idea). But that the Canadian government is going to be involved???? Those safe sites are still experimental at this point! Lastly, As our government seems to have grave difculties with delivering quality pot to those it is perscribed to.. I have heard nothing from Anne McLellan and as there would need to be major changes in Canadian law to make this work we would HAVE to hear from her (In Canada there is only ONE law. No such thing as State or Provincial Law, just areas of responciblity). The other person I would expect to see quoted in that artical would be Ujjal Dosanjh the Federal Minister of Health. Again, a voice that is suspiciously absent. Lastly, this would be an issue that would be put to the Federal Liberal cacus and debated before parliment as it would require changing Canadian law and therefore require an act of parliment. So again, I would need to see this confirmed by other sources before I belive it.
