WHY does NT (XP - whatever) DO THAT???? by ChuckAB2005-03-15 12:48:41
Is this a custom-built machine or from by merlin2005-03-15 12:52:53
    It's a Gateway. by ChuckAB 2005-03-15 13:04:26
It has been rebuilt so many times it isn't funny. If I build and format the partitions manually, I can use the entire drive. If I let SETUP format the drive, it wants to leave that stupid 8MB free space somewhere - usually at the end. This time, however, I was doing a RIS install with a drive that I had left the second partion alone and had deleted and recreated the first partition. I guess I'll play around with Partition Magic and straighten it up.
