WHY does NT (XP - whatever) DO THAT???? by ChuckAB 2005-03-15 12:48:41
When it partitions a hard drive during setup, it refuses to use the 8MB at either end of the drive. I am playing around with a RIS installation and when I told it to delete/create a partition in the first 8GB (8001.1MB) it only partitioned 7993MB leaving an 8MB free space at the beginning of the drive.

WHYYY??????.....
